Node/Bone position and orientation can be incorrect
« on: December 21, 2012, 10:28:36 AM »
Staticprops (models where the $staticprop flag is checked in WWMT) do not have this problem.

To solve bone offset/orientation problems, here is how you should approach setting up the model and the WWMT helper. AGAIN, THIS IS NOT NECESSARY FOR $staticprop!

When doing complex models, (with multiple nodes, bones and/or skin) here are some helpful tips:

  • DO NOT USE THE ROTATED option for origin with rigged models.
  • If you want to use the Local Origin option on a rigged model, the root bone should usually be aligned to the world.
