Got a new free plugin for everyone: WeldMapVerts modifier (https://wallworm.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=68&product_id=70). It welds the mapping vertices of a mesh in whatever channel you want. I made it to circumvent some problems with the Commit Sculpt Mesh having problems with alpha painting. I'll explain more when I get time.
