My best guess is that you haven't installed the latest patches for Max 2012. The vanilla install of 2012 has a major bug with MAXScript. Make sure to install the latest service pack/product update for your version of Max (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/index?siteID=123112&id=2334435&linkID=9241178).

If that doesn't solve your problem, paste the contents of your QC file here.

That is the exact scenario I'd expect if you've not installed all the latest service packs for 3ds Max 2012. Initially, Max 2012 locked all files created by MAXScript... which is the bug messing with WW. Update Max and you won't have that annoyance.
