WWMT Questions / Re: Z axis of object stays same

The resetting of scale, in the hiearchy tab, that you explained here http://dev.wallworm.com/document/127/my_model_scale_is_wrong.html

worked like a charm, thank you very much  ;D

WWMT Questions / Re: Z axis of object stays same

I can understand it can be difficult to see from the picture. Try seeing this also, this time I tried to make the board very thin, but it stays at the same thickness in HLMV, Hammer, etc.

I deleted the original model in my folder before compiling this one, to make sure I wasn't loading an old model in HLMV.

WWMT Questions / Z axis of object stays same
October 11, 2013, 05:30:39 PM
Hello

When I try to export my objects sometimes 1 axis of the object stays at a fixed width. I have experienced this with 2 objects now. The first one I let it slide, but now I want to ask if you have any suggestions for fixing this.

I can transform the object as small or as big I want on the Z axis in 3ds max, it will stay the same in 3ds.

When I try to run Hammer.exe in the orangebox/bin folder, it gives me the exact same error as the WMMT batch file did. MountAppFilesystem error. The title of the msgbox is VConfig error.

I have deleted my VProject enviroment variable because I did not think I needed it. I have to reset game configurations in Source SDK tools with CS:S selected to restore it.

Same error still with hammer.exe in orangebox/bin. I also have SDK tools running from Steam just in case even though that it broken now.

VConfig.exe gives the same MountApp error.

Sorry I can't look more into it right now I have to go. I think the fault probably lies more within my Steam install.

Update: I have kinda given up on fixing this for now, I have the modified batch I use instead, though it's a bit of a hassle having to change the filename.

Hello

After a fresh format I think Steams new folder system Steampipe is causing me some trouble.

First I had the gameinfo.txt missing error, then I edited the gameinfo directory in WWMT settings, that fixed the error.

But now I get this strange error, any ideas what it might be or workarounds?

Update:

I could get rid of the error by editing the settings so my bin dir in WMMT settings now is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Source\bin\

Instead of the bin dir from VCProject called something with orange box...

However, it is still generating a error from WMMT's batch file because of this -nop4 argument:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Source\bin\studiomdl.exe" -game "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\" -nop4 "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\hyllesen\sourcesdk\modelsrc\celf\stol_teater.qc"

It won't work because of the -nop4 argument, however this will:

@echo on
REM Compiling using the Wall Worm Batch File...
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Source\bin\studiomdl.exe" -game "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\" stol_teater.qc
@pause

But from what I just read it seems that I would actually need to use the orange box studiomdl.exe, because it allows the -nop4 argument so WMMT can easily make the batchfiles for seperate files.

WWMT Questions / Different sounds for different elements?
December 11, 2012, 12:36:48 PM
Hey

I have a chair with metal legs and wood seating.

How would I go around to make the metal legs sound like metal when I shoot them, and the wood parts as wood?

I know how to make the whole model as wood/metal with the SurfaceProperty, but is there a option in WMMT to choose what element is what?

Feel free to just redirect me somewhere but I can't recall seeing this on the videos.

Best regards

WWMT Questions / WWMT menu gone
December 09, 2012, 04:34:57 PM
Hello

I installed PhysX plugin to make some quick and dirty collision hulls, but the WWMT menu is gone permenantly.

I try to run the install script, and the settings/options menu pop up where I can choose my working directories etc, but the menu is gone.

I got 3ds max 2010 SP2 32bit and my PhysX version is

NVIDIA_PhysX_For_Autodesk_3ds_Max_2010_32bit_2.86.00811.20500

I tried disabling PhysX plugin, didn't work, the WWMT is still gone, so not sure if it's directly related to it but it just happened right after I think.

But I can still access WWMT if I assign a hotkey to it, so if I press Y the WWMT window comes up.

Though it would still be nice to have the menu at the top bar.

Best regards
