There is a new Modifier available: Select Faces Modifier (https://wallworm.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=68&product_id=74). This modifier selects faces based on several rules that are not topology-dependent.
It is possible to implement some rules like Ribbon Selection tab has? By number of sides (non quads), Tops, Open, by axis and so on...
Yes, those are all already on my roadmap. In the end I want it to implement most functions that are in the ribbon selection and some others I have in my mind.
