Title: Preview models for prop_statics?

I've been making a quick map for the contest and  I'm finding it difficult to find out how to get preview models to appear in the scene for the prop_statics etc.
Any help would be much appreciated

Edit: I've tried to search through the documentation but haven't had much luck finding what I need

Sorry, this is a very poorly documented feature in WW. At this time, you can only do this if you have access to the original SMD/QC files or decompile them with crowbar. If you do that, you can then add a prop_static via Anvil... and then use the Import button in the modify tab for that entity. At that point, import a QC. There is likely to be a native MDL viewer in the toolkit soon but that is a 3rd party tool and I haven't got the access to adding it into WW yet.

This is an area that is to be fleshed out and explained soon.

Until then, experiment. Or just make all of your own original props with WW :) For prop_static, it's best to use WWMT and it's Proxy function (which is a more convenient way of adding props).
