Title: I think the modifier tab broken?

Hello all,

I have been following this guide to texturing models (http://gameindustry.about.com/od/tutorials/ss/Uv-Mapping-In-3ds-Max-2013-Part-1_2.htm). Unfortunately the modifier tab list is all blank and seemingly broken. This prevents texturing, which is bad, because I am trying to continue a project.

How do I diagnose and fix this? Have I missed something obvious?

Required info:
Autodesk 3DS Max 2013 64bit
Version 1.965 released on 10-22-2013

Type this into the MAXScript (pink area at far bottom left) and hit enter:

resumeediting()

If it doesn't return, past/enter a few times.
