Can someone do a tutorial on how to import a model and make it as a custom survivor in left 4 dead?

Best for this would be K@rt (http://www.wallworm.net/index.php?action=profile;u=268), but he's gone missing this last year. He was doing a lot of L4D character stuff. I'd try to poke him back to life.
