Title: Decal problem on custom model
Post by: teh_raf3 on February 22, 2014, 08:25:58 PM
I've got a strange problem with a custom model I made.

Exporting it is fine, it appears correctly in hammer and in cs go but the decals made from bullets only appear on two sides of the model.

On the area highlighted in green the bulletholes appear (also on the same side but opposite), on the red highlighted area the bulletholes do not appear.

The collision model seems correct when I check by using the vcollide_wireframe 1 option in the console.
I've tried using different collision models with different settings, placing the model's pivot point at different places but nothing seems to change.

*This is the first time that I have encountered this problem, all of my other models work fine.

Any idea what might be the problem? (the model is not grouped, all the objects are attached)

It's hard to say. Perhaps the model is a multi-material and the material circled in red do not allow decals. Or maybe the UVs for the back side are incorrect. It's hard to say without the actual model in front of me.
