WWMT Questions / Sequence Help
August 13, 2014, 11:42:26 PM
Hi. I have a question about sequences with wall worm tools. How exactly do I add more than 1 to the qc from the wall worm model tools window? Idk where there is an option for that. It'd be great if someone could help. Also, for textures, does it have to be tga? Could it be png? Just wondering. Thanks for reading this. Hope you can solve my issue. I use 3DS max 2013 and 2014, but I really mainly use 2014. Thanks!  :)

WWMT Questions / Help! SourceFilmmaker questions
August 08, 2014, 10:29:00 PM
Hi. I am in need of services with getting a model from 3DS max to Source Filmmaker. I do know how to do it, but for some reason the bones get all over the place sometimes and especially the facial animations. This is a big problem, especially with my animation purposes, so I do need some help. But, the main reason for why I'm here is for the Steam Community itself. Many (and I mean MANY) people downloaded my Naruto Model from Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, and really want more Naruto models. I don't want to give them bad models, so I really need help with perfecting these models, or at least making them better than what they were. I need someone who can help me with facial bones, as well as transferring it from 3DS max to Source Filmmaker without any issues at all. If you are that person, PLZ help me. I'm not just doing it for myself, but for everyone who wants more of the models.

I hope I'm not sounding really annoying or anything. Please help me. If you can, great. We can chat on steam online then. People seem to want me to do this, despite me being a beginner, so please help if possible. Thanks and have a great day. :D

P.S. I use Wallworm Model Tools for 3DS Max 2014 AND I have it for 3DS Max 2013 as well.

By the way, my Steam username is supervideogamer15. http://steamcommunity.com/id/supervideogamer15/

Alright thanks, I also have 3DS max 2014 just in case 2013 wouldn't work with something lol. I have all of those settings on the sequence, but I'm still confused on some things. Do I still export the textures and materials like I would usually do for a model? I've seen the sequence page you linked to me, and I did all of it, but I'm still a little confused on what to do next. Do I hit export model? Would that export the animations along with the model? Sorry I'm just a little confused. I'm still a newbie at this  :)

WWMT Questions / Exporting animations?! Please help
July 15, 2014, 10:39:26 PM
Hi. I have Autodesk 3DS Max 2013, and I have been using Wall Worm for quite some time now. I've been wondering if there was a way to export any animations that were made in 3DS Max into Source Filmmaker. I don't know how to do this, as I've only done models for Source Filmmaker, not animations. It'd be great if someone could help. I'm not that good with this, and I am getting bettter and better each time I learn more things about the Source Engine and modeling in general. I think you can export the animations somehow as an SMD, but I really have no clue what to do with exporting animations to Source Filmmaker. If someone could please help me and explain it in very easy steps, I'd much appreciate it   :)

IT WORKED! All I had to do was make it a TGA file and that was it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!

Alright thank you! Here's what it says:

"VertexLitGeneric"
{

    $color2 "{149.94 149.94 149.94}"
}

It says this for all of the VMT's. And strangely, now I've realised that there are no VFT files at all that were exported. I ran the batch file that got exported, but that didn't help either. Either way, after I made my own VFT files from using VTFEdit, nothing changed. And yeah, my bitmap is a png file, so that must explain it. I'll try it again, and convert it into TGA to see if it helps at all. If not, I don't know what to do. And, I've changed the folder name too, and added underscores, and still nothing. But, I'll see what happens after I convert the bitmap file. Anything else you think could be causing this?

Hi. Your tool is really good! I like using it, since it makes things a lot simpler for me! I have encountered a major problem however, and no forum that I've seen has helped.

Everything is fine whenever I export the model EXCEPT for the materials. The model is always white, and I have no idea why. I've done everything: follow the tutorial video on exporting textures, looked at forums, set the correct paths, EVERYTHING i could think of that would make it work! But no, it doesn't work. Here is my qc if it helps at all:

// QC File generated by the Wall Worm Model Tools Version 1.978
// Get the latest version and notes at:
// http://dev.wallworm.com

$modelname   "SVG15/Object001.mdl"
$body Object001 "Object001.smd"
$collisionjoints "Object001_hull.smd" {

}
$surfaceprop "flesh"
$cdmaterials "models/tobi one side mask off"
$sequence idle "Object001" loop fps 30

$include   "Object001_wwmt_custom.qci"

I have TRIPLE checked where the materials are, and they are in models/tobi one side mask off. I am SO CONFUSED about this, and worst of it all, I have been looking at this problem for days with no answer. Please help if you can. Thank you for your time.

Hi, I am very new to Wallworm, as well as using the program Source Filmmaker. Now, I have multiple obj files that I have downloaded on my computer, and I was wondering if there was a way to export that file into Source Filmmaker, so I could have those files into that program for animation purposes. Unfortunately, I have searched everywhere, but haven't found an answer.

Now, if anyone could explain to me how to do this in 3DS Max 2014(I have it) somehow and export it to Source Filmmaker in a very simplified way(since I'm very new to doing this) I'd be much obliged. I have installed WallWorm correctly(by following the tutorial) for my version of 3DS Max, but now I am totally lost. What do I need to do now? I have my model ready, but now what do I do? If you guys know a video that can help with this, I'd be greatly appreciated. Sorry for bothering any of you guys, I just wanted to know and all.
