Title: 3ds Max 2014 SP3 Released
Post by: wallworm on September 27, 2013, 09:14:44 AM
Autodesk released Service Pack 3 for 3ds Max 2014 (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=22328132&linkID=9241178) today. I am currently installing it but may not be able to fully test WW for a few days as I've been hired to extend/finish the WW VMF importer. The most likely (potential) issue is the exporting of models with a skin modifier and bones because there was a drastic change in the way the Skin modifier works in Max 2014... and it is not clear to me if AD is going to revert the skinOps.getBoneName function to its traditional utility or not (and as it stands, the WW functions have switches for pre 2014 and 2014+... so if this changed that then WW may be temporarily broken). If you find this to be true, please let me know.

Also, as mentioned above, I'm deep into updating the VMF Importer. So far the functions I've added to the unreleased updates include: importing model meshes, support for subdivided displacements; I'm tackling some other issues, including the U/V offset errors for brush geometry.
