Title: materialnamemethod error
Post by: sfmpov on April 22, 2017, 02:40:57 PM
Hi, I am new to WWMT, trying to get it to work but I'm stuck at an error while exporting materials. Exporting the model actually works!

Quote-- Unkown property: "materialnamemethod" in undefined

This error is returned at line 88 of the exportSelectedWWMTVTF.ms script.
See attached screenshot.

Any ideas ?

Thanks for posting this error.

Update WW and that error should go away. I just loaded the fix.

Wow! That was quick haha :)

I have another problem, in SFM my model look very low poly, and I mean VERY LOW:

The texture is fine, I can swap a one-color texture and it still look the same way. Seems like the model was exported in a very low polygon count or something.

Any ideas?

That doesn't look like a polycount problem, it looks like a Normal problem.

You can probably solve this if you open the WWMT Floater for the model and change the Normal Method from Auto or Face Normals to Explicit Normals and re-export. Note that this will slow down the export significantly unless using WW Pro (as the MAXScript version will be slow when using Explicit Normals).
