Well what im trying to do is create a box with 5 sides 1 texture and then the front a different one (more specifically, a creeper head)
i dont understand why im finding this difficult, but once i have it ill be fine.
i can get all the materials and etc done right in 3ds rendering, but as soon as i try 'render to texture' in order to create a working gmod texture, it seems to just glitch
The bug that occurs:

what it should be like:

this is extreamly frustrating, obviously im new to 3D modeling, so it would be a great help!
Thanks, Shadow

The most likely reason is that you need to Unwrap the model. For something quick and dirty (and usually fine for something this simple)... just click the Use Automatic Unwrap option inside the Mapping Coordinates section of the Render to Texture dialog. When you get a little more complex, you'll have to learn to do that on your own with an Unwrap UVW modifier.

In terms of Wall Worm, you'll need to remember what mapping channel is used for exporting into Source. Usually when you use the Automatic Unwrap, it defaults to channel 3... so in WWMT make sure to set the Mapping channel to 3 for that model before exporting so Source (or whatever channel you happen to use).
