Important thing when exporting models and textures.

Okay I've noticed that if you export your model first and THEN the texture, the texture won't work in the engine.  I've now come to realize that you must export the texture first and then the model, in that order.

I didn't think it really mattered but now i know otherwise so i just thought I'd mention it in case anybody else runs into the same issue.

This has never been something that I've ever had to deal with. I export in any order with no problem.

The real thing is this: If you make any changes to your material (like the name of the material or the output directory), you will need to re-export the model. Likewise, you must re-export a material if you change the model's material path ($cdmaterials parameter behind the scene) after you had already exported the material.

I never had this issue. Though it is black if you don't export out the texture, once I do export the vmt/vtf and go back to my hammer window, it should refresh the scene and update the textures.
